Why Shannon

sample

I am a writer and a coach. My first book, Brain Power, was published in 2002 by John Wiley & Sons, and teaches the seven principles of how your brain operates and how to use them to succeed in today's chaotic working world.

As a coach, I have worked with hundreds of people, helping them to succeed in their careers and businesses.

In my own working life, I have changed careers several times. In addition to being an entrepreneur, I have worked in a fast-growing small business, in state government, for the global advertising agency, Saatchi and Saatchi, as well as for Bucknell University.

In the past ten years, I have done extensive research into how people think, and how their thinking processes affect working relationships, communication, creativity, productivity, leadership, job searches, and career exploration and decision making.

My clients and readers, like you, benefit from relevant theories, as well as strategies and tools that have been put to the test and proven successful in the real world.

I draw on over 25 years of experience and education to help people learn what I have learned about human dynamics. I hold a bachelor's and a master's degree in human communication from Michigan State University, and am a member of the Association of Career Professionals International, Coachville.com, and the International Association of Coaches.
